januka.attanayake@uconn.edu 860-486-9511 BH232 Vernon Cormier Solid earth geophysics research. Currently carrying out research on the heterogeneity of the solid inner-core. Learning how to process, analyze and interpret seismic data and am interested in correlating it to regional tectonic setting and deep earth structures. Research focus is on identifying upper most Inner Core heterogeneities using seismic waves in the epicentral distance that encompasses PKP(df) and PKiKP phases.

Denise Burchsted
denise.burchsted@uconn.edu on leave BH234 Melinda Daniels Research focused on the physical condition of
pre-colonial rivers in order to help set targets for modern river restoration projects.

Yongping Chen

yongping.chen@uconn.edu 860-486-0475 BH238 Lanbo Liu Research interests in predicting the subsurface structure by analyzing microtremor signals and evaluating the site effect of earthquake hazards in urban areas.

Daniel Ferreira

daniel.ferreira@uconn.edu 860-486-9511 BH232 Allison MacKay Factors influencing denitrification and the natural attenuation of nitrate contamination of groundwater through anthropogenic nitrogen loading, especially from septic plumes.
